Video Discription: Former Bachelor star Chris Soules is trying to make his case in an Iowa court.

Lawyers for Soules said in a motion that the reality star provided CPR to the man he rear-ended in an April crash, and therefore an Iowa court should drop charges against him.

The 66-year-old he allegedly tried to revive later died at the scene… and police charged Chris with failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

He returned home and reportedly refused to open his door to cops until they got a warrant. But his lawyers claimed he acted reasonable at the scene, called 911, identified himself, the provided CPR, before departing.

A 2006 state law makes it illegal to flee the scene of an accident, but Chris’s lawyers said the law is worded to allow people to depart in order to report the incident or get help.

His legal team added that ambiguity arises because the first sentence does not define how long a surviving driver must remain at the scene.

A hearing on the motion to dismiss has been scheduled for November 27th… with a tentative date for the trial set in January.
