Strong
as an ocean wave. Vulnerable as a rose petal. Lauren
Flaherty’s Voice and Songwriting offer listeners
comfort and catharsis set to an infectious Rock
beat. Years before earning a Berklee College of
Music Scholarship, Lauren fell in love with Rock
music young, learning guitar at thirteen.
Within just twenty-four hours of striking her first
power chord, she began writing songs. Now, after
hundreds of original songs, several awards, and
countless gigs, she has released her debut Album,
"What Makes Angel". The powerful Rock
CD features all original music, ranging from Industrial
Anthems to intimate piano ballads, and even offers
a live performance at Cambridge's historic Folk
venue, Club Passim. Tracks such as "Across
The Sea" and "Angel" are winning
spaces on Internet Radio charts, local compilations,
and most importantly, homes in new fans' hearts.
Performing frequently in Boston and New York, Flaherty
continues to hone her craft, playing passionate
concerts everywhere from Cambridge's Club Passim
to New York's CBGBs. "I want to make my audience
feel everything I'm feeling," Flaherty says,
"all of the joy, love and outrage. To create
real art, and of course to rock out!"
Lauren Flaherty is passionate about her music. Chances
are you will be too.
Press Highlights:
"A Powerful Singer"- South Boston Online
"Rock and roll vixen Lauren Flaherty exudes
a sassy confidence on her new 10 song album "What
Makes An Angel". She's more reminiscent of
Pat Benatar than Sheryl Crow as she rocks loud and
proud. She's equally capable of getting low and
sultry too, making her a versatile tour de force."
-Metronome Magazine
