After winning numberous singing competitions in secular country music, and having high hopes for a country music following, Ricky realized things were not going so well. After parting ways with band members who were seeking worldy approval, Ricky turned to GOD, asking what he should do with his life. TWO WEEKS LATER.......that prayer was met. Ricky met Leon Joplin at a filling station in the small town of Buffalo Gap, Texas. Ricky commented on his travel trailer and truck, at which time Leon shared his story and love of Christian Country Music....and the rest is history" I gave my life back to God and what a difference ....... He has sang at large venues,from Kentucky to Texas to Idaho and have met alot of GREAT people along the way......He LOVES walking GODS way.....
