t h e m o s s (Portugal) draws inspiration from folk music, alt-rock, blues and artists such as Rickie Lee Jones, Tracy Chapman, Paul Simon and James Taylor. Simple songs, with slow pace and great melodies. In 2004 Hugo moss (solo) presented “diffuse words” demo CD (home recording), done several shows around Oporto and got to National Radio ANTENA 3 “Quinta dos Portugueses” contest, within 12 bands selected between hundreds. Singer/songwriter Hugo has now teamed up with drummer Marcelo Araújo, bass player Joel Maia and released ‘The Moss EP’, featuring some guests such as Carlos Araújo (guitar), Rui Vilhena (vocals); this is the most recent trace of Moss’s music journey.
